Welcome to the BlindZebra [BZ] Hunters' Guild Valheim Resources page. BZ is dedicated to helping EVERYONE. We NEVER charge (if we can help it) and we don't recruit. BZ was founded by three brothers in 2004 and has been helping people across many different games since that time.

On this page you will find everything related to what we are doing in Valheim. Please let me know if there's anything missing or if you have any questions about this information.

Join Us

While we do not recruit, we welcome anyone that is willing to abide by our guidelines to join us on our public servers. If you would like to play Valheim on the BZ servers, read the guidelines and then follow the steps below.

Rules and Guidelines

Nobody is allowed to disrespect, argue or even mildly annoy Eluu.
The colors maize and blue are forbidden to be used for ANY REASON. Those colors do not belong together.
Do not perform or promote the intentional use of glitches, hacks, bugs, and other exploits. We will drop the ban hammer on you for this.
Stealing is punishable by castration or disembowlment. We take it very seriously.
Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball (TM).
Whining or being a snowflake is strictly forbidden and will be dealt with severely.
No Spam or flooding the chat with messages. Do not type in ALL CAPS. It's just rude.
No racism or degrading content.
No advertising of any kind unless it's explicitly allowed by the admins or moderators.
No begging, being annoying or repeatedly asking for help in the chat.
No offensive names. Unless they are really funny and don't break any of the previous rules.
Inviting bots is NOT ALLOWED without administrative approval, any bots that are found will be INSTANTLY BANNED.
Profanity is allowed, however if you use it excessively or obnoxiously you will be hung, drawn and quartered.
Do not argue with staff. Decisions are final.

Steps for joining the BZ Valheim Servers

Purchase and install Valheim on Steam: Steam
Download the Thunderstore app: Thunderstore app
Install the BZ Ashlands Modpack using Thunderstore: Ashlands Modpack
Follow these instructions to download the files

Launch Valheim from the Thunderstore mod manager
After loading into the game (takes a few minutes) create or select a character
Click on one of the servers in the Fast Link menu at the top-right of the screen as shown in the image (below). Please note: Only the servers that are in green should work.
If you have any trouble with loading into the servers, please let Ed know immediately on Discord

Auto Sort Instructions

Hit <CTRL> + C on your keyboard to copy or right-click and select copy from the context menu to your clipboard

Launch Valheim from the Thunderstore mod manager (if you haven't already) and log into the game

Hit F1 on your keyboard and use the following image as a guide to changing your settings

Click inside the "ItemsToSort" field

Hit <CTRL> + A on your keyboard to select all in that field

Hit <CTRL> + V on your keyboard to paste what is in your clipboard

Change the "SortKey" field to the tilde (`) key (instead of the default "o" which conflicts with using that key in normal gameplay, trust me)

Close Valheim and then re-launch it from the Thunderstore mod manager

BZ Backgrounds

To update the BZ backgrounds for the Minimal UI mod in your config files, follow the steps below:

Download this file: Backgrounds
After the archive [mui_bz.zip] file is downloaded, right-click on it to extract the files or open it.
Hit <CTRL> + A on your keyboard to select all of the files in the archive

Hit <CTRL> + C on your keyboard to copy or right-click and select copy from the context menu to your clipboard

Launch the Thunderstore app
Select Valheim and your Profile
Click on Settings [Gear icon]
Next click on Locations
Finally click on Browse Profile Folder
The folder may open on your taskbar, click on it to focus on it
Once you have located and are focused on the Profile Folder, navigate to the BepinEx\Config folder
The full path should look something like this: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Thunderstore Mod Manager\DataFolder\Valheim\profiles\PROFILENAME\BepInEx\config
Make sure you are in the Config folder hit <CTRL> + V on your keyboard to paste what is in your clipboard

Launch Valheim from the Thunderstore mod manager
After loading into the game, hit F1
Locate and expand MinimalUI
Change the option for "Use Custom Backgrounds" to On

BZ Config [Old]

To update your config files for any of the BZ servers, follow the steps below:

Launch the Thunderstore app
Select Valheim and your Profile
Click on Settings [Gear icon]
Next click on Locations
Finally click on Browse Profile Folder
The folder may open on your taskbar, click on it to focus on it
Once you have located and are focused on the Profile Folder, navigate to the BepinEx\Config folder

Once you have located and are focused on the Profile Folder, navigate to the BepinEx\Config folder

Faslink Config

To update the BZ server list for the Faslink mod in your config files, follow the steps below:

Download this file: Config
After the archive [servers.zip] file is downloaded, right-click on it to extract the files or open it.
Select the file in the archive
Hit <CTRL> + C on your keyboard to copy or right-click and select copy from the context menu to your clipboard
Launch the Thunderstore app
Select Valheim and your Profile
Click on Settings [Gear icon]
Next click on Locations
Finally click on Browse Profile Folder
The folder may open on your taskbar, click on it to focus on it
